If you're anything like us - then your Sunday nights usually consist of one question:
''Chinese, Indian or pizza?''
And while our pre-weekend routine is loved, adored and may never change - we always feel a little bit sluggish afterward.
Or, rather, we did. As we've found a guilty pleasure that may not be so guilty after all.
Enter, 3 Leaves
Your new favourite spot.
Chef Santosh Thomas is the heart and soul of 3 Leaves, an Indian restaurant located in the centre of Blackrock Market.
After graduating with a degree in Hotel Management from Kerala, India, Thomas trained and worked for the Taj Group in India for few years, later travelling to the Middle East to continue his career. He then arrived in Ireland, a decade ago now, with a dream to start his own restaurant. He honed his skills in some of the reputed Dublin restaurants we all know and love - until a year ago, when he grabbed an opportunity with both hands, and opened 3 Leaves.
“My vision is to provide my customers a pure taste of India, a symphony of taste for them to experience the depth and flavour of the spices. I believe the soul of any Indian dish is the freshly ground spices, hence, every morning I prepare these spices myself. I try to keep my menu minimalistic, so I can offer my customers variety and the freshest dish.”
At 3 Leaves, the menu changes daily.
Chef Santosh believes in keeping the menu interesting and exciting, so he offers both vegan and non-vegetarian meals each day. Yep, this place suits everyone.
And if you're not familiar with the many different Indian dishes on offer, don't worry, you will be offered a little taster each time you visit before you order.
Fancy that.
The menu is especially extensive over weekends, starting from a typical Indian street food like Bhel Puri, Pani Puri, Palak Pakora Chaat (all pictured above) to a traditional South Indian Breakfast item like Idilli, Appam or Puttu along with some elaborate Curry and Rice.
He also makes different kinds of biryani including the fragrant, distinctively flavoured and lightly spiced Dumpukt Biryani.
What's great about 3 Leaves is that you never have the same experience twice.
Menus change every day, offering you the true taste of India. Light, fresh and super flavoursome - a meal here will leave you feeling anything but sluggish.
For more information, and more images to drool over, check out their Facebook page right here. They offer both, eat in and takeaway services - so now all you have to do is choose.
3 Leaves is located at 19A Main St, Blackrock, County Dublin and open for lunch on Tuesday - Friday (12 – 3 PM), Saturday and Sunday (11 AM – 5 PM) and for dinner on Thursday nights (6:30 -10 PM).
