The White Moose Café has just opened in Phibsborough and its pancakes are to die for.
Owned by couple Jason Kidd and Paul Stenson, the newly opened café has a host of drool-inducing treats to choose from, like their ‘Fish Finger Sandwich’ with breaded monkfish cheeks, cool Iceberg lettuce, saffron, dill aioli, and homemade ketchup on a Waterford blaa.
They have also concocted their very own beverage, known as the 'Mooseccino.' The drink comes in caramel, mocha and vanilla, with their signature flavour being the White Mooseccino, which contains a very special secret ingredient. Intrigued yet?
But the item on the menu which has the café's customers raving is their Silver Dollar Pancakes, complete with caramelised bananas and a luscious helping of Nutella.

The partners behind the café both had a background in hotel management before starting this unique little place. The two complement each other in the business, Jason says of the division of labour:
In terms of responsibilities, I designed the café and look after all the branding... while Paul pays the bills!
Speaking of the design, the café itself has a distinctive look, which gave rise to the coffee shop's unusual name.
When we designed the café, we knew we wanted to put a moose head on the wall. So we got a faux white taxidermy moose head shipped over from Utah, and when we put it up on the wall, we decided the best name for the place would be The White Moose Café.
