A teen has been killed and his passenger seriously injured in a single vehicle road collision in Dublin today.
The incident occurred at approximately 4.20pm at Clarehall in Dublin 17 when his motorbike crashed into a lamp post.
The 18-year-old motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.
The 23-year-old pillion passenger was taken to Mater Misericordiae University Hospital.

The road remains closed for examination.

Gardaí have appealed for witnesses to contact Coolock Garda Station on 01-666 4200, The Garda Confidential Telephone Line 1800 666 111 or any Garda Station.
