Two schools in South Dublin are warning parents following reported sightings of a convicted serial rapist living nearby.
The Southside schools, one primary and one secondary, reportedly sent letters home to student's parents advising them to be vigilant.
The man in question is believed to have been convicted for rape and sexual assault in 1996 after a six-day rampage in Dalkey, Monkstown and Killiney, The Herald reports, and also stabbed a woman in Rathmines.
He has reportedly been spotted in Rathmines in recent months after being release in 2009 after serving 13 years behind bars.
It's understood that management said in the letters that Gardaí say the man is not a paedophile and that he hasn't re-offended since his release.
