Some dick stole a Syrian charity box from Little Ass Burrito Bar this weekend.
Lovin Dublin teamed up with various restaurants, bars and businesses across the city in the past few day for our #DublinForSyria campaign in order to raise much needed funds for Unicef's Children Refugee Crisis Fund.
The response to the campaign was incredible, with 30 Dublin businesses coming on board, including Chapter One, Bach 16, and Phorest.
Another restaurant who participated was Little Ass Burrito Bar, whose charity box and all the funds collected over the weekend was stolen yesterday evening.
Philip Martin, owner of Little Ass Burrito Bar, said:
It's disgraceful. It's not nice, but at the same time I suppose it's an extension of the homeless problem in Dublin at the moment. Stuff like this has happened a few times before, it's was just a shame it happened again this weekend.
Owner Martin claimed that the response from the public this weekend was "phenomenal" and he estimated that €450 was lost in the robbery.
