A teenager has been left fighting for life after an "arranged" fight on social media turned ugly.
The Irish Daily Star said on Thursday that the one-punch attack was enough to put the teen unconscious.
The attack happened at Airside Retail Park in Swords in the early hours of Sunday morning.
The 17 year old in question is currently in Beaumont Hospital and is recovering from a severe head injury.
Detectives on the case are led to believe that the fight stemmed from a "pre-planned" brawl that had been initiated on social media.
Gardaí say that the incident happened at 1:30am on Sunday on the 2nd of September. He was brought to hospital by ambulance and investigations are ongoing.
