Gardaí have confirmed that they are investigating two different muggings which took place outside two different and popular Dublin locations.
The first took place on Sunday evening beside the Clayton hotel in Clondalkin.
Gardaí are saying that the incident took place at around 5:30pm and that a woman's bag was stolen near the hotel in Ronanstown.
The second incident took place outside Malahide Castle on Monday afternoon and involved a woman in her 40s who was visiting the premise.
According to Gardaí, the woman was approached by a car and had her handbag stolen but there was a struggle.
Eventually, the attacker got hold of the handbag and fled the scene.
