Look Out For The 50 Storyboards Posted By Humans of Dublin Around The City

Humans of Dublin is teaming up with the Dublin2020 campaign to showcase 50 individual human stories, accompanied by portraits, around the streets of the city.

The portraits were posted yesterday, under direction of Humans of Dublin’s Peter Varga, the personal stories are now in cafés, on walls, in windows and at different sites around the city.

Inspired by the hugely popular Humans of New York, photographer Peter Varga has been spending his time speaking with people all over Dublin and taking their portraits since August of 2014, including this interview with an elderly gentleman in Dun Laoghaire that went viral last week.

What I love about Dublin is Dubliners - I think Dublin's culture is embodied in its people and I'm proud to work with Dublin2020 on this project. Nine out of ten people I ask to have their picture taken and share their story for Humans of Dublin say yes, and that shows how open they are. I hope it helps Dubliners to see how great they are.

The Humans of Dublin2020 Storyboard Project is part of the Dublin2020 campaign that aims to promote and improve Dublin in a bid to claim the title of European Capital of Culture in 2020.

The Humans of Dublin2020 Storyboards can be seen now around Dublin city and its environs, in Clontarf, Fairview, East Wall, Custom House Quay, Cabinteely, Shankhill, Ballybrack, Thomas Street, the Red Luas Line, UCD, Ballsbridge, Lucan, Ranelagh, Rathmines, Rathgar, Dublin City Centre and Dublin 8.
