Here Are 5 Free Things You Can Do In Dublin This Weekend

It may have been pay day yesterday, but chances are you’re still spending averse.

If that’s the case, then look no further than these awesome free events that are happening around Dublin this weekend. There’s trad music, Chinese art, walks, markets and a petting zoo. Definitely something different.

Go to Tradfest in Temple Bar

As well gigs by traditional musicians, there’s something for everyone. Kids can go to the petting zoo or play music at The Ark, there are family concerts on in Dublin City Hall in conjunction with the Chinese New Year Festival, and adults can go on the Tradfest music trail.

There are exhibitions at the Gallery of Photography, Kildare Village and Arnotts on today.

Then tomorrow there is a free film showing of Up The Yangtze at the Hugh Lane Gallery and a retrospective at the Chester Beatty library.

Listen to traditional music at the Banjo and Bovril Festival

Not technically in Dublin, but not far off. There will be live music sessions and lessons going on in the Harbour Bar today and tomorrow from 4pm.

Go on a guided tour of the Dublin Mountains

The group leaves from Bohernabreena tomorrow at 10am to walk alongside the Dodder and the reservoir.

You need to book ahead of time. Unfortunately, there are no dogs allowed.
