A massive gaming conference is taking place in the city next month and if you have any interest in retro games, you won't want to miss it.

8 Bit Gaming Conference runs in Griffith College on Saturday 21st and Sunday 22nd October.

It's set to be a jam-packed weekend with exhibits, panel discussions, some of Ireland's top game collectors auctioning off their goods as well as a cosplay competition on the Saturday.

Undoubtedly, the highlight of the weekend will be the mammoth gaming tournament they're holding over the weekend.

Gamers will battle it out in the likes of Donkey Kong, Mario, Mario Kart, Tekken and Super Smash Bros to be in with the chance of claiming first place.
