In a survey released by Hayes & Jarvis, a company who specialises in tailor-made holiday packages, Dublin has come out on top as the most vegan-friendly city in the world.
Analysing information drawn from TripAdvisor, the data was then compiled to find out which cities contain the greatest proportion of highly-rated restaurants (4.5 stars or above) for a given cuisine, occasion and dietary requirement.

In order to be included in the final ranking, a city must have a minimum of 500 restaurants with each ‘high-quality’ establishment having at least 10 reviews each.
According to the holiday specialists’ findings, Dublin has the highest percentage of vegan-friendly restaurants, with one in five eateries offering plant-based options. More than any of the other 49 most visited cities included in the study.

Worth noting, however, that restaurants can ascribe their own TripAdvisor descriptions and so “vegan-friendly” can oftentimes be thrown about willy-nilly.

Quality-wise, Dublin didn’t even make the top 10 so while it may be vegan-friendly in the broadest sense of the term, it seems there is still quite a ways to go.
