Choose Life? Choose A Job? Choose ‘Trainspotting’ At The Olympia Theatre Next Year

It's hard to believe that the original Trainspotting movie is now 21 years old. The adaptation of the Irvine Welsh novel is one of those films that has transcended the industry and become part of pop culture for generations to come.

Following the release of the sequel earlier this year, there's still a thirst for the antics of Renton, Spud, Sick Boy et al and next year Dubliners will be able to catch up with the characters as Trainspotting comes to the Olympia Theatre.

MCD has today announced details of the production which will run from Tuesday May 8 to Saturday May 12 2018 and it sounds like the ideal night out for any fan of the iconic movie or '90s music and culture in general.

Adapted by Harry Gibson and presented by Reality:Check Productions, the show originally appeared in Smock Alley in February 2016.

"Brought to life through a soundscape of 80s dance music, with a live DJ playing pre & post show, the edgy Scottish humour and uncompromising dialogue follows a group of friends as they struggle to survive the Edinburgh heroin scene."

Tickets for Trainspotting start at €25 and are on sale now.
