A Homeless Man Was Pelted With Eggs By Thugs On Lord Edward Street Last Night

A homeless man was pelted with eggs by thugs on Lord Edward Street last night while outreach workers were present.

Volunteers from Inner City Helping, an organisation that provides food and clothing for Dublin's homeless, were on the scene when a gang of youths in a car pelted the homeless man and workers with eggs.

During the attack, which took place around 12.15am last night, the thugs shouted at the homeless individual to "have some food".

This is not the first instance of violence against homeless people in Dublin, as one man was urinated on by a gang of youths just weeks ago.
