This year has been filled with heartache, but also triumph – and one local poet has summed it up beautifully with this poem.
Called 'The Youth Still Own The Art', Dave Byrne's poem explores the lows points of 2016 (Brexit, Trump, and the Syrian refugee crisis) as well as its highs (Black Lives Matter, the success of Conor McGregor, the rising up of the youth in general).
It's powerful and impressive stuff.
