When you think of “summer food,” you probably think of backyard grills and beachside bonfires manned by Chef Dad.
But while that’s well and good, Dublin’s professional chefs do a pretty great job of whipping up your favorite summer dishes too. Here’s our list of the summery treats you have to try in Dublin this summer.
A cone of anything from Murphy’s screams 'summer', but the raspberry sorbet is a particular (and dairy-free) sunny-weather favourite.

Yes, we really went to Taco Taco and ordered something other than a taco.
Few things are better suited for a summer meal than corn on the cob, and Taco Taco’s parmesan-crusted version is positively delightful.
I dare you to not think of a day by the sea while chowing down on the wares of this Smithfield gem.

Okay, so this one’s a drink and not a food.
But sit at an outside table and kick back with a pitcher of this summer sangria, and you’ll be practically transported to a summer in Spain.

Combine two of the greatest experiences of summertime at San Lorenzo's: eating delicious jerk chicken tacos and rolling out of bed at 2pm for brunch.

If barbecued meat is the official food of summer, My Meat Wagon is the summer food king. Pair your board with an ice-cold brew and you have a recipe for a perfect summer night.

Grab yourself a kale crack salad and a bottle of Mean Greens to go and have a health food picnic on Stephen’s Green.

Something about eating out of a cone always seems fitting for the summer, and a cone full of chips paired with any of Frite Haus’ sophisticated sausage offerings is sure to satisfy your summer cravings.

A sundae from Dun Laoghaire’s Scrumdiddly’s is a crucial part of any Dublin summer, but we dare you to try the new summer offering posted on the parlour’s Facebook page this week.
Half a fresh pineapple filled with whipped dairy ice cream, raspberry sorbet, Irish strawberries, fresh pineapple chunks and a drizzle of summer fruit coulis – anybody able for it?

Sip on a lychee & chilli martini, munch on some calamari fritti, and soak up the sun on the best restaurant terrace in Dublin.

This summer classic won’t come cheap, but if you want high-class summer seafood, this Dundrum spot should not be missed.

Grab a sambo at the city’s best outdoor market and enjoy a lunch in the sun.

If this spread from their Twitter this week is any indicator, Fallon & Byrne should make all of your produce dreams come true this summer. Grab a tub of strawberries and get to your nearest beach.

Lemon and bay leaf chicken on a stick? A mason jar full of homemade lemonade? There’s summer sorted.
