Mark Pollock hardly requires any introduction – he's the first blind man to reach the South Pole, a former champion rower, writer and all-round legend who has taken on the many challenges life has thrown at him and turned them into phenomenal opportunities to inspire.
He's also an ambassador for Wings For Life, a not-for-profit organisation that funds research into finding a cure for spinal cord injury, and the organisers of the super-exciting Wings For Life World Run which takes place in Dun Laoghaire on May 3rd (Bank Holiday Sunday).

The Wings For Life World Run is a race with a difference – instead of running towards a finish line, the finish line runs towards you!
A 'catcher car' (driven by none other than Simon Zebo!) will begin to chase everyone 30 minutes after the runners set off from Dun Laoghaire, speeding up slowly until everyone is caught. The aim is to keep going for as long as you can but no distance is a failure. Taking part is the name of the game!
Not only will you be helping an unbelievable cause, have a great day out and seriously challenge yourself – but everyone who joins the Lovin Dublin team will be entered into a competition for the chance to win a one-night stay with dinner in the Dean Hotel for 2 people. (We'll randomly draw a name from the Lovin Dublin team on the day).
